"Thou art my God,
and I will praise thee:
thou art my God ,
I will exalt thee."
Grace Elliana
"Even in the valley, God IS good."
Grace was born at 23 weeks in September of 2006. As a result of her extreme prematurity, she has hydrocephalus (VP shunt) and cerebral palsy. After 126 harrowing days in the NICU, she came home. Overcoming all the odds, she learned to walk, talk, and play like every child. On November 16th, 2009, our lives took another shocking turn. Gracie's shunt failed, and she suffered from a massive stroke. After 13 days in the PICU, 7 days in 1600, and 6 weeks at a rehabilitative hospital, Gracie is once again home. Now, we face SOME of the day to day challenges of parents with a brain injured child -re-learning, therapy, illnesses and seizures. Thanks for joining us on our journey!
"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
"Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever."
I am a born again child of the King, wife to John, mommy to Grace and Josiah. I started this blog to keep friends and family up to date while Grace was in the hospital. We are home now, but the work has really just begun. Now I share pictures, progress, and sometimes just feelings. Please, read with an open heart and mind.
So often, we talk about our faith in God and Jesus on this blog. Without Him, OUR lives would truly be nothing. Are you saved? Do you know for sure that you are a child of the King? Heaven is more beautiful than we can ever imagine...and hell is worse than our minds can believe. Heaven and hell are real...and one day you really will go to one or another. Make Heaven your choice today. It's simple...and it's the most important thing you'll ever do. Click here for God's simple plan of salvation.
